Tue, 20 Jan 2026

Part 1: Join Tony and Shippa as they start their engines and charge for the chequered flag in Newcastle’s Grand Prix…no, no, no…it’s Newcastle’s Grand Pricks, the amazingly talented but most dangerous country boogie band in town! But wait, that’s not all…on this show, Lachlan from the band also introduces his alter-ego Lachlan X Morris with a blend of 60s, 70s and all the other-ties that have influenced him over the years. Yes, you won’t curl up and die once you’ve taken a chill pill or two…relax and enjoy the ride in Formula Juan!

Part 2: Tony and Shippa get stuck into some new submissions from up and coming artists in the second half of the show. Catch tracks from Morning Harvey (Brisbane), Mirah (Brooklyn, USA), Remember Sports (Philadelphia, USA), Stellar Sea (Alice Springs), Velvet Two Stripes (Zurich, Switzerland), Joanna (Widnes, UK), Sunday Mourners (LA, USA), Halfway Down (Sydney), De Porsal (Geelong, Vic) and LowSunday (Pittsburgh, USA), with Shippa’s Surprise continuing the Sunday themed tunes with the Sunday Scaries!

Episode 1120: Everyone Deserves Music with Scott - 18 January 2026

Sun, 18 Jan 2026

That creative genius of our time - David Lynch - departed this existence one year ago. What a legacy! We bookend this show with the amazing Rebekah Del Rio plus there's also an original 1961 Linda Scott song from the Mulholland Drive soundtrack. And a classic from Sharon Van etten from Twin Peaks The Return. Part 2 of my interview with Wilding's Justin Stokes. To set the scene either side we hear from XTC, Ian Dury and the little known Martin Newell (Justin's choice). Elsewhere we have 2025 tunes from Stereolab, Goose, Geese (yes really), Mei Semones, The Northern Folk, Peel Dream Magazine, Tunde Adebimpe, Mogwai and Brooklyn's Margaret Glaspy. We love Glaspy's work here so much that we threw in a track from her 2016 album 'Emotions and Math' as well as one from 2023's 'Echo The Diamond'.
Deezer playlist here

We're continuing our look back at 2025's best music with a few twists. Among the tunes chosen are
